Ikuta Erika is my official Nogizaka oshimen! She was amazing! I just hope after they stopped filming that all the girls got to eat Yakiniku! It looked CHOOO OISHI!!!!
As always BM, thanks so very much for this. You are amazing, and I basically adore you.

Thanks! And I’m pretty sure the staff are nice enough to give the rest of the girls a bite. I remember hearing that the Nogi girls love yakiniku, so I’m sure there’d be a riot otherwise, lol. I think I’m more jealous about the strawberry. It looked so plump and juicy!

Yup, for me she’s  younger brother type idol Lol, sometime you feel her annoying, but still love her haha
I used to hate ikoma, cause of center thing (5 in a row). now? Gradually began to love her 😀

Thanks Blue! One thing these episodes keep reminding me of is how underrated Nagashima is. It seems she always makes the best of her appearances but doesn’t get much consideration for senbatsu.

I’m happy for Ikuchan though, she’s very talented and (this might be blasphemy…) the latest Nogi songs have been the only 48G music I listen to, aside from a few other singles, so I’m looking forward to it. I don’t dislike other 48G music, it’s just not really for me. Actually, to be honest (this is definitely blasphemy!) my favourite idol music is new Morning Musume. *runs away* 😀

I agree, she’s great! I feel like Nogizaka tries to maintain its conventionally pretty, classy girl image (which is good), especially in its senbatsu, so maybe that’s why? Idk, I feel like if she were in HKT, she’d definitely get a position (since HKT seems to always have 1-2 variety positions in its senbatsu).

I don’t really listen to Nogi music, but Kimi no na wa Kibou is in my top 10 favorite 48/46 songs. And for some reason, I always associate Ikuchan with that song (probably because of her duet with Mayuyu during Kouhaku this year) so I have high hopes for the upcoming single! And no need to run because you like Momusu! When I was young and still living in Japan, all the girls from my kindergarten class worshiped them. We all wanted to be them, and I really think that’s the reason why I’m into idols so much today! Also, Momusu in their peak > 48G. 😛

Yeah, your guess is as good as mine, about Seirarin. I can understand if they also figure she’s better as a strong Under than a weak senbatsu. I think there are many Nogi members who would be much more popular if they transferred, because they have such a good lineup but not enough ways to promote them.

And that’s such a cute image of young idol fans lol. I didn’t watch early Momusu until long afterwards, but I can definitely see why they were so popular. It helps that it’s a much smaller group than the 48G too. All those TV shows and such with only a small number of members. Makes me wonder what AKB would be like if they had only focused on the top members from gens 1-3 and stopped expanding so fast…

And one last thing, I just saw in your twitter feed on the side that you actually appreciate these long comments? That’s a relief! lol sometimes I wonder if I’m just being annoying rambling on, but I really do appreciate all your work and I like to leave a little bit more than a simple “thank you”.

At the same time though, I wouldn’t want the 46 girls mixing with the 48 girls, and I don’t think the 46 girls themselves would want that either. But there are a few members who I wish had joined HKT instead!

          Yeah, this was when Momusu was just starting up. Maybe I’m wearing rose-colored glasses, but I feel like they were loved by the general public so much more than AKB. Also, fun fact!: my cousin went to school with one of the members. He said she was ordinary looking in real life, though. ;_;

Ooops, yeah, I always feel comfortable saying whatever on my twitter because I feel like it’s relatively private. Anyway, yes! Thank you for leaving thoughtful comments! And no way, you’re not annoying me at all! I don’t post on Stage and I don’t express my opinions much on twitter, so it’s nice having a place where I could discuss things like this. 🙂

Ikoma was so amazing here. I’ve always liked her, she’s always so enthusiastic and funny, and she really dealt with losing the centre position with a lot of dignity. Seirarin was on great form again this week, but I actually laughed more at Noujou’s abysmal failure. Then when it came to Kazumin’s turn to be in the hut…you just knew it was going to fall. About variety members in the Senbatsu; it is harder for them, but N46 rotates the back row members a lot, and most of them have been selected, although not often. Kawamura stands more chance though, because she’s a genuinely good singer as well. I was pleased Ikuchan got selected as centre this time. I would have preferred Ringo or Nanamin, but Ikuchan deserves it. I always hate watching the Senbatsu Nogidoko episodes though, I always feel bad for someone.
PS 1: Have you been watching the Tani/Kaotan roadtrip? Awesome from start to finish, especially Dasu’s antagonising video message.
PS 2: Maimai is so cute in the thumbnail, I’m glad N46 gives the older members more of a chance than 48G

Yeah, I like how she doesn’t seem overly bitter about losing her center position, and I certainly admire how she seems to support everyone. I think having competitive spirit is great and all, but I think it’s truly amazing when someone can swallow his/her jealousy and be genuinely happy about another person’s success, even if that success threatens his/her own.

I like the idea of rotating centers/senbatsu. It’s great that everyone gets a chance to showcase their skills. I’m not sure if it’ll work in the 48G, though, but that’s ok. I think it’s better when 48 and 46 operate differently. And yeah, I don’t watch those senbatsu selection episodes either. I hate seeing the girls sad. 🙁

Yep, I’m actually enjoying it more than Ebishow itself! It’s definitely right up my alley.

Maimai reminds me a lot of Sakai Mei (even their names are similar). Don’t know much about her yet, but she seems really shy and nice.
