HKT48 no Odekake! EP29 – English Subs

June 29, 2014 by

Odekake29

On this episode, the members visit one of the most iconic tourist destinations in Japan, Asakusa. They walk around Nakamise trying out delicious dishes, meeting new people, and saying oishii one too many times. Later, a mysterious guest joins them! Who could it be?

Rikopi is the center for the first half of the episode and Sakura is the center for the second half.

Enjoy!

Ah, I loved this one! Sensou-ji and Ame-yoko were two of my favourite places when I visited Japan. I even have a photo similar to the one they took with the Australian girl with a bunch of Junior High boys in their super old-school uniforms. I remember that woman working at the dango stall as well, because I thought she was really cute when I went there. At the end I actually though the guest was Akimoto Sayaka from the back and then felt really stupid XD.

No way, you saw the same lady? What a coincidence! I went there when I was younger and I remember feeling like I saw more tourists than actual Japanese people, lol.

I remembered her because my friends were trying to set me up with girls the whole time I was there; friends, relatives, unusually cute market vendors, and she was one of them. I thought the same thing as well, way more tourists than Japanese. It was May though, so it might be different in the non-holiday season.

Well, good on your friends for helping you out (unless it was one of those unnecessary and embarrassing ordeals). I thought she looked like Ranran a bit. Cute!

I usually visit in the summer so that probably has a lot to do with it, too. Although Tokyo in general is full of tourists all year around.

Yeah, I was surprised Rikopi spoke English so well! I guess I’m used to idols completely butchering the English language, lol.

And yep, just 2 more! I can’t wait to be done!

Hello, I just wanted to say thanks for all your videos. I knew nothing about HKT before but now I wait on every episode and I’ve watched them all a few times. I don’t know how you do it so fast but thank you!

Actually… that not all I wanted to say! I have a request, if it’s possible. Episode 64, because it’ll be a long time to get there if you go in order, and thanks to your subs I came to love Chori and Tani.

Thank you for your kind words! As a subber, hearing people say that they wait for my subs is like the biggest compliment!

I’ve actually received multiple requests to sub ep.64. I guess Chori and Tani are just that popular. I was only planning to go up to ep.31, but since there’s enough demand for it, I’ll go ahead and sub it after I’m done with 31. It should be up in the next 2 weeks!

        Oh! Thank you thank you~
Sorry, I didn’t know you planned to stop soon though 🙁 I must have missed it if you posted that before. I’ll miss these every week but you’ve done so much already, I can’t complain.

Yeah, I’m sorry, I don’t think I made a post about it. But if you didn’t know already, LonelyAvocado has subbed Odekake episodes 32-42, with plans to continue, I believe. I was just filling in the episodes she skipped over.

Although I’ll be quitting Odekake for the time being, I’ll still continue subbing! 🙂 Hopefully you’ll enjoy whatever show I pick up next as well.

Hi how are you doing? Soooo excited for the next parts to the Tokyo Trip! It’s like Christmas when you put these subs up for us!
One quick, quick question….do you know where or how would be the best way to find THE TIME HAS COME with subs? I am not sure where to look for it. I can’t even remember how I was able to find the last documentary with such great subs, but I am wondering if you have a special place you visit online to find docs. This one sounds insanely important and awesome, as I heard it is going to cover the Iwate handshake event and the members responding to it. So that should be really interesting to see the behind the scenes from that.

Or by any chance, will you sub this?

Let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear from you. Hope you are doing well.

Hey, I have no idea if any subbing group is planning to sub the documentary right now. Unfortunately being that I’m an independent subber, I don’t plan on tackling a project that big. Maybe you can ask some of the big subbing groups like AIDOL or Guild48 to see if it’s in their schedule. As for finding subs, HKT has a pretty comprehensive subbing compilation doc, but I’m not sure about the other groups so I couldn’t point you in the right direction. I’m fairly new to the subbing scene myself and only know HKT subbers so I honestly don’t know either. Sorry!
